We are looking for a few Good Men!

James 2:14  "What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?"....and 2:18 "Indeed someone might say, 'You have faith and I have works.’ Demonstrate your faith to me without works, and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works."

The Knights of Columbus offer many opportunities to support many charitable works within our Parish, our Community, and State. Knights have the opportunity to develop good friendships with other strong Christian Men through our charitable works and our social activities.

Our fundraisers include hosting the Lenten Fish Fries, and selling chips for Texas Hold-em. The earnings have allowed us to support many charitable organizations and works, as well as fund our many activities. In 2009 we were able to donate $ 10,000 to split among the Open Door, St. Vincent DePaul, St. Patrick’s and the Samaritan Center. Additionally we were able to provide blankets for Veterans, sweatshirts for homeless and contribute to a future Priest, Nun and Deacon.

Letter from our Grand Knight

Brother Knights, Vivat Jesus!

I feel blessed to be addressing you as your new Grand Knight! The new leadership of your council asks for your prayers and support to continue the great work of our predecessors since the inception of our council in 2003. As always we have a very busy and event filled fraternal calendar planned and ask for " All Hands On Deck " with your Time, Treasure and Talents.

The Knights of Columbus face new challenges daily because of our secular progressive society! It is incumbent upon us, as Knights, to remain steadfast in our beliefs and actions. While at times it may seem daunting and overwhelming, we must press on undeterred. “When the going gets tough, the tough get going."

By living out the Knights principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism we can affect positive change in our society. May God continue to bless us all in the important mission of the Knights of Columbus as laid out for us by our founder Fr. Michael J. McGivney!

And as I said at our last October meeting please sign up for 1 hour at 40 Days for Life to pray to end abortion.  To sign up go to      www.40daysforlife.com\bloomfieldhills
